Avanna-Mai

One of the things I love most about photography is capturing candid moments which create timeless memories for the client. This particular Baptism had been delayed due to Covid but it was most definitely worth the wait and turned into a beautiful celebration.

These shots are from an initially very shy Avanna-Mai who soon came out of her shell once I had a lovely little chat with her and what a wonderful day it turned out to be. Avanna-Mai was surrounded by a very loving family of cousins, Aunties, Uncles & Grandparents and I didn't have to do much to capture some lovely interactions and moments between them.

The church itself was spectacular with beautiful natural lighting which I could use to my advantage and the Minister was full of character and light.

Moments of quite whilst the minister was talking gave me the opportunity to see how Avanna-Mai interacted with her mum, I adore this shot it gives insight into the love they share with one another.

After the Baptism had concluded the family enjoyed food company and good music and I was able to capture the family enjoying their time together. It was hard not to witness the happiness after Covid had stopped such events from happening.
